Born in Alaquàs (Valencia), Enric Parreño is a versatile conductor who has worked with different groups and ensembles, demonstrating solid direction, a consequence of his extensive musical training. He currently combines his work as a conductor with that of a teacher, taking charge of the direction of the Conservatory of his hometown.
He is currently the director of the Alaquàs Musical Union Orchestra (Valencia, Spain). He has worked and conducted with different international soloists such as Armin Rosin, Eloy Marques, Germán Murcia, Christian Ibáñez, Giuliano Sommerhalder, Esther Vidal, Xavier Martínez, Juan F. Avendaño, Pep Burguera, Adam Frey, Philippe Cuper, Allen Vizzutti, Javier Bonet, Zhenni Li, Peter Steiner, Boston Brass and Spanish Brass among others, as well as with different singers of the current scene. In 2018 he received the Best Conductor Award at the II BANKIA Orchestra Competition, held at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia. In 2021 he received the “Premi Castell d’Alaquàs” in the Arts category and participates as a guest conductor with the National Symphony Orchestra of Guatemala. In August 2022, he made his debut leading the National Symphony Orchestra of the Dominican Republic, with an entirely Spanish program, with music by Manuel de Falla and with the pianist Zhenni Li. He was principal conductor of the Valencia Maritime Villages Band and the Symphonic Band of the Unió Musical d’Alaquàs from 2006 to 2018.
